ADDITIONAL TREATMENTS

Electro-Acupuncture:

A mild electric current passes between needles during treatment. This current generally applies more stimulation to acupuncture points than twirling or hand manipulation of the needle.

Cupping:

A suction cup is applied to the body (typically the back side) to bring blood flow to the surface of the skin.

Acupressure:

This involves hands and massage tools to apply pressure, increase blood flow, and enhance the acupuncture treatment.

Moxibustion:

The application of heat by burning dried mugwort leaves near acupuncture points is commonly referred to as moxa. There are several different ways to burn the mugwort leaves.  Moxa strengthens one’s immunity by elevating blood counts, and the penetrating heat is effective in reducing pain and inflammation.

Taping/Herbal Patching:

The placement of Kinesio and Phiten power tape, or herbal patches help to support weak, painful, or tight muscles.
